Entrepreneurial opportunity identification marks the inception of entrepreneurial activities and serves as a key distinguishing factor between social entrepreneurship and other forms of entrepreneurship. This case details the entrepreneurial journey of social entrepreneur Lu Xuan, who founded the Legal Centre for NGO (hereinafter referred to as "ForNGO") and the Shanghai Fuguan Law Firm (hereinafter referred to as "FuGuan Law Firm") in succession to fulfill her mission of "advancing the rule of law in the public welfare and charity sector." The case aims to help students integrate theories of entrepreneurial opportunity identification with knowledge of social entrepreneurship, analyze the opportunity recognition process and personal traits of social entrepreneurs, and strengthen their cognitive abilities and sense of social responsibility in innovatively addressing societal issues.
