This case study delineates the comprehensive digital transformation journey of Meizhixuan Technology Company Limited, a traditional door and window manufacturing enterprise. Amidst industry overcapacity and intensified homogeneous competition, traditional manufacturers, including Meizhixuan, faced declining profit margins and shrinking market shares. The company was further burdened by inefficiencies in production, outdated management practices, and inflexible supply chain responses, which nearly drove it to bankruptcy. In 2019, under the leadership of General Manager Peng, Meizhixuan initiated a digital transformation, focusing on optimizing production processes, restructuring organizational frameworks, and integrating informatization with intelligent manufacturing. These efforts enabled end-to-end digital collaboration across the entire workflow, from order receipt to product delivery. Within four years, the company’s annual revenue surged from 50 million Renminbi (RMB) to over 200 million RMB, propelling it into the ranks of industry leaders. The case examines the driving forces behind the transformation, critical challenges, the synergy between technological and managerial innovations, collaboration models, and outcomes. It highlights how Meizhixuan leveraged digital strategies to thrive amid industry upheaval, offering practical insights for small and medium-sized traditional manufacturers pursuing digital transformation.
