This case described the growth of Share Harvest in 2020 during the pandemic, including the expansion of growing and farming categories, the screening and marketing of fair trade products, and highlighted the rapid growth of the new farmer training business and the food community sector. However, Share Harvest also faced many challenges, including the loss of key employees, and the challenge of organic product inspection and testing. Seeing the challenges in the operation of many CSA farms, such as lack of resources and insufficient capacity, the founders of Share Harvest began to think about the repositioning of Share Harvest, and the possibility of transforming Share Harvest from a benchmark organic farm to an agro-ecological platform that empowered many small and medium-sized CSA farms. This case aims to guide students to think about the connotation of the platform, the types of the platform, the network effect of the platform and other issues, and the possibility of Share Harvest implementing the platform strategy.
