Power-Solution is a born global social enterprise that dedicates itself to improving lives of people living at the bottom of the global pyramid (BOP) with green energy. In the process of transforming from a pure trading company to a manufacturing social enterprise, Power-Solution follows the consumption upgrading of the BOP population closely, implementing international diversification strategy and providing sustainable solar energy solutions for the BOP population. At present, Power-Solution’s solar energy products have reached 63 developing countries and improved the lives of more than 3 million families worldwide. In the first place, this case introduced the R&D, product quality control (PQC), product design, marketing innovation, process reengineering and team building of Power-Solution. On this basis, it explored the unique business model of this born global social enterprise, attaching great emphasis to Power-Solution’s innovative practice of achieving sustainable development through the combination of self-hematopoiesis and external blood supply.
