This case clearly presented us a range of issues that must be dealt with 26 about the enterprise performance appraisal work by introducing the performance appraisal reform of the sample company, and several significant points about the importance of establishing the performance appraisal system were put forward. At the beginning, the case introduced the strategy and the organizational structure of the sample company, which aimed to indicate why the company implemented the performance appraisal reform and on which situation the reform was based. Secondly, the case introduced how the sample company designed and implemented its performance appraisal system, which revealed several problems the company encountered and various opinions about how to solve the problems during the process of implementing the reform. In the end, two opposite solutions to the problems were proposed. Readers were asked to comprehend, choose from and integrate two solutions after considering the previous introduction. Furthermore, readers were encouraged to think systematically about how the performance appraisal system is built and know better about key factors, structure and operation of the enterprise performance appraisal work.
