Guided by theories of transformational leadership and empathetic leadership, this case focuses on the management practice of Agricultural Bank of China Anhui Branch to help students comprehend the connotations and nature of leadership, and learn different types of leadership—transformational, strategic, empathetic, and charismatic among others. With a close look at the Bank’s leadership practice, students will improve analytical skills and learn how executives impact and lead the entire team to achieve organizational goals at a higher level. The case also improves students’ decision-making capabilities to grasp opportunities with organizational repositioning and strategic plan, and to tackle challenges with solutions based on careful review and thorough analyses.
