Effective followership is of great significance to the development of organizations and individuals. Taking the bidding process of one team in Yunzheng Company as the background, this case depicts three followers of Lin Peng, Gao Dong, and Li Tong with different working styles. The case is narrated from the perspective of follower Lin Peng. Under the circumstance of changing the leader, it describes Lin Peng\'s dilemma of changing from \"flower \" to \"thorn\" and his subsequent reflections and responses. This case shows how follower attitudes and performance vary according to the leader-follower congruence in the followership prototype. Students will learn and discuss the classification of followers and the followership prototype. From the discussions, they learn deeply about how the fit of the leader-follower followership prototype affects the follower and the organization, and thus master the method of diagnosis and improvement of followership.
