This current case, choosing a middle-sized team focusing on legal issues in M&A (mergers and acquisitions) process in K law office, tells a story of Yue Gao, who was promoted at a critical moment of difficult business operation and lack of talents, but further confronting challenges in managing subordinates and work delays in the adapting process to the new leader role. Through self-reflection, Yue Gao adjusted his communication way actively and changed his influence strategy specifically for different subordinates, which gained positive results - enhancing his own influence and meanwhile contributing to the improvement of team performance.
