This case introduces the rapid expansion process of an industrial automation enterprise, from weak to strong. In early time, the H Technology Company took the internal expansion route, going through the dangerous period of start-up companies. After 2006, the H Technology Company began to diversify. M & A and joint venture became two important ways of expansion. Today, with the opportunity to expand to injection molding machine market, facing potential M & A target—Ningbo A Company, what kind of expansion should H Technology Company adopt? Should it acquire A Company? How to integrate after the acquisition? This case mainly describes three ways of H Technology Company’s expansion: internal expansion, mergers and acquisitions, and joint venture, introduces problems H Technology Company have to face after the acquisition of A Company, discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the three ways to expand. It also trying to study, under new business environment and development stage, what expansion strategy and integration terms should a company take to promote its performance and keep its long-term development.
