Abstract:
This case mainly describes the events that happened among the star streamer Xing Wang, his colleagues Yu Zhang and Fei He, and the live streaming team leader Jie Liu of the H Publishing House. Upon the publishing house’s decision to venture into the realm of live broadcasting, Xing Wang, who was an editor, became a star streamer of the live streaming room. However, Xing Wang has received the main return for live streaming sales and disregarded the contributions of other team members, triggering the dissatisfaction of Yu Zhang and Fei He who cooperated with Xing Wang in writing scripts. Ultimately, Xing Wang, Yu Zhang and Fei He had tensed interpersonal relationships, and Xing Wang stopped broadcasting due to team cooperation issues and heavy workload. Subsequently, the team leader Jie Liu found that despite the efforts of other team members, the sales of the live streaming room still declined sharply and the whole team got into trouble as a result. This case aims to guide readers to reflect on how organizations can manage star employees as well as their teams in the context of the digital economy, and how to effectively stimulate group dynamics, so as to achieve high-quality development.
