Abstract:
This case describes DG Property gradually realized the “red ocean”nature of traditional property services industry during several years of company development, which prompts DG to start its exploration of new business model. However, in analogy to other companies seeking reform, DG property encountered unprecedented challenges. The new business model is indeed a “blue ocean”, but the lack of capabilities to match the new business model become its shackles. Also, due to the intangible nature of services, complex, diverse and extemporaneous demand from client brought about problem of client relationship management. This case systematically present all the background information needed for management and decision-making so that readers can put themselves in the shoes of manager of DG Property to think about a series of issues.
